Casting rumors for the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 7" have circulated over the last few weeks with a number of actors claiming to be interested in returning to the galactic series. Among those that have expressed a desire to return are Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Ewan McGregor, Samuel L. Jackson, and Frank Oz. Now Warwick Davis can be added to that list.
The actor admitted that he would love to return for the upcoming "Star Wars." He previously appeared in "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" as the main Ewok Wicket. He returned for "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" in a number of roles.
"I love to perform so to be able to go back into something like Star Wars... what a lovely thing that would be to say, that I've been in all three trilogies. I'm not dying to get back inside an Ewok suit," Davis said. "I'm happy to play a villain perhaps, [or] a Jedi. A villain with a light saber is the ultimate goal, if that's not asking too much. I never got a light saber before and I think just to have one of them, to be able to wave one of them around a little bit, would be huge. I'm dropping loads of hints at the moment, so we'll see what happens."
Davis is an accomplished actor with roles in major films, such as the "Harry Potter" series and "The Chronicles of Narnia." He was recently in "Jack the Giant Slayer" and will appear in "Ivan the Fool" and "Shortfellas."
