Assassin's Creed Movie Could Be Called 'Rising Phoenix,' New Leaked Image From Ubisoft Suggests

There may be yet another leak of a new Assassin's Creed title, but it is unclear if it is a movie or game. This time, the leak is of an image is of the title Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix. All Games Beta were the ones to originally post the image.

With the recent official announcement of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, it is unlikely that this image is for another console game from the series. While another Vita game would not be out of the realm of possibility, the writing at the bottom left-hand corner indicates that this could be a movie title.

The image is apparently from Ubisoft Digital Arts, which is not part of the company's game development studios, but is the company's "cinema creation studio." According to IGN, There is a live-action Assassin's Creed movie in the works, with Michael Fassbender, of Prometheus and X men: First Class fame, set to star. This could very well be the title of that movie, as very little information about the movie has been released.

With so many leaks coming out of Ubisoft, one has to wonder if they are leaking information about upcoming projects on purpose. With the multiple images and details that were release about Assassin's Creed 4 before the game was announced, there must either be a serious breach of security at the company, or they simply release information on purpose to build hype for upcoming projects. It certainly worked out well for Assassin's Creed 4, as fans were treated to new information almost every day before the game was officially confirmed by Ubisoft. We shall see if this leads to something substantial, or if the image is a fake or simply a piece of test art for something else.
