During "La Tempestad's" first day of shooting William Levy displayed his new Tattoos.
Levy, who grew out his hair for the role of Damian in the new series, showed off a tattoo he got for the role. The actor told the press that he got two fake tattoos done for the role. He stated that one was on his arm and the other was in a hidden part of his body. The actor added that his character is a fisherman and one that does everything for the fisherman community.
During the interview the actor also stated that he was happy to be back in Mexico after spending a period of time in the United States. He stated that Veracruz reminded him of Cuba except for the food.
Recently Levy stated that the reason for his return to the soap opera was because the script to "La Tempestad" was excellent. Additionally he stated that he had already formed a close bond with his co-stars former Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete and Spanish Actor Ivan Sanchez. Levy also stated that he hopes the chemistry and good working environment will last the entire shoot.
"La Tempestad" marks Levy's return to the telenovela after excursions into U.S television and film. He was last seen in "Dancing with the Stars" and will appear in Tyler Perry's next film "Single Moms Club." The actor also starred in "Single Ladies."
The series began shooting on Wednesday March 6th in Veracruz and will move to the studio after filming on location. "La Tempestad also stars Laura Carmine, Jessica Coch Diana Bracho, Cesar Evora, Alfonso Herrera, and Luis Manuel Avila. Salvador Mejia will produce the series based on the Colombian telenovela "La Tormenta" and is set to air in Mexico on May 13, 2013 on El Canal de la Estrellas. A U.S release has not been issued.
