Land Rover introduced a new design package for the Range Rover Evoque that is expected to be available for sale in April.
The "Black Design Pack" features the addition of 20-inch wheels with a glossy black finish and matching bumper inserts, darkened exhaust tips, light surrounds and unique badging.
"Offering our customers even greater choice with the option of the striking Black Design Pack can only make the Evoque appeal to an even bigger audience," said John Edwards, Land Rover global brand director, when the special package made its debut in Geneva.
"With its dynamic and sporty handling, formidable all-terrain performance, choice of premium luxury interiors and color and feature combinations, customers truly can personalize their Evoque to suit their individual taste or requirements."
Land Rover also made waves in Geneva with the release of a nine-speed automatic transmission Evoque.
And with the addition of the nine-speed, the next generation of the Evoque--which is already the most fuel-efficient Range Rover--is expected to be of the most fuel-efficient transmissions out there.
"Increasing the number of gear ratios from six to nine gives significant improvement in fuel economy and a corresponding reduction in CO2 emissions," Land Rover said in a statement. "Smaller ratio steps give improved response during acceleration, improved shift quality, drive and refinement. The higher top gear not only reduces fuel consumption but the lower engine revs improve comfort and reduce noise when cruising at high speed."
