Rumors are circulating among WWE fans that officials from Guinness World Records will be in attendance at WrestleMania 29. For what you ask? For what is expected to be officially the largest staged Harlem Shake in the world.
According to a Mstars News report, WWE officials are planning a Harlem Shake that will include tens of thousands of fans who will be attending the April 7 event at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The spontaneous dance craze that went viral on YouTube has spawned thousands of videos and has drawn millions of views. It's no exaggeration to say that everyone and their mother is doing the Harlem Shake as videos have surfaced from military bases, popular television shows, and even from the bottom of an university pool.
It's only fitting that the craze that has given the world non-choreographed dance fever should make its way into the wrestling world's most renowned event. The stadium hosting the annual slamma jamma is home to the NFL New York Giants and Jets. The stadium has a seating capacity of roughly 85,000 for football games. With the addition of seats on the actual field WrestleMania may potentially fill the recently built stadium with roughly 100,000 fans. A Harlem Shake of that magnitude is hard to fathom and who knows what ramifications it may hold for the stadium's foundation.
If WWE officials decided to go through with it, it would be the second Harlem Shake produced by the WWE. A WWE edition was previously released and can be seen below.
