The MTV movie awards announced their nominations with "Django Unchained" leading the pack.
Quentin Tarantino's Oscar winning film received nominations for Movie of the Year, Best Male performance for Jaime Foxx, Best On-Screen Duo, Best Fight, Best Kiss, Best WTF moment, and Best Villain.
"Ted" also received seven nominations for Movie of the Year, Best Female Performance for Mila Kunis, Best On-Screen Duo, Best Shirtless Performance, Best Fight, Best Kiss, and Best WTF Moment.
"Silver Linings Playbook" received six nominations for Movie of the Year, Best Female Performance for Jennifer Lawrence, Best Male Performance for Bradley Cooper, Best On-Screen Duo, Best Musical Moment, and Best Kiss.
"The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Avengers rounded out the nominees for Movie of the Year.
Kunis and Lawrence will compete with Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables), Emma Watson (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect) for Best Female Performance, while Foxx and Cooper will face off against Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln), Ben Affleck (Argo) and Channing Tatum (Magic Mike).
Other actors nominated include Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Surag Sharma (Life of Pi), Martin Freeman (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Rises) and Leonardo DiCaprio (Django Unchained).
Will Ferrell will be honored with MTV's inaugural award Comedic Genius.
The awards will be handed out on April 14th on MTV at 9pm. The show will be hosted by nominee Wilson and Ferrell. The awards will be voted live by the audience throughout the telecast.
