The curly-haired Spanish sensation David Bisbal began his awaited United States and Canada tour this past Friday at the Warner Theater in Washington D.C.

"I came to Washington to visit my fans and to share with them my best songs," the singer said in an interview with El Tiempo Latino. "My audience for me is the main thing, the best thing. I want this night, at the Warner Theater in Washington, to be an unforgettable party."

Bisbal's best work will surely include some songs from his latest album "Una Noche en Teatro Real," which won the 2012 Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and reached triple platinum record in Spain and gold record in the U.S.

Before the concert, the singer took some time to go sightseeing in D.C. making stops at The White House, the Washington Monument and the U.S. Dept. of the Treasury.

While he was traveling through the city the singer decided to show fans some love and give away two free tickets through a social media game.

"Double ticket is already hidden. Where? #Sryutrea put in order the letters," Bisbal posted on his twitter account along with a picture of him sitting at the General Sherman Monument (where he hid the tickets), right across the street from the Treasury.

Besides D.C., the singer already performed at the Lynn Auditorium in Boston and the Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto. His website reports that all three performances were sold out.

His North American tour which includes a total of 11 stops will be marked by all acoustic concerts for a more intimate feel. The singer will be accompanied by a piano, a string section that includes a Spanish Guitar and a mandolin and a percussion section.

"I want to show that David which is calmer and more modest with a [show] that I have never put on before," the Andalusian singer said on an interview with Terra.
