Mrs. Foley's baby boy will now be responsible for other baby boys...and girls.

WWE Saturday Morning Slam will soon have a General Manager all their own and it's none other than Mick Foley. The wrestling show seen on the CW is part of their Saturday morning Vortexx block. For many children, Saturday Morning Slam is their best chance at catching their favorite WWE stars in action without staying up late or watching it online.

It seems ironic that Foley, known for being the "hardcore legend", is now watching over Saturday Morning Slam,  the WWE's most kid-friendly show. It truly brings full circle the career of a man known for losing part of an ear in a ring, diving off the top of a cage, using thumbtacks, barbed wire and flamethrowers (ok, maybe not the last one) in WWE matches. In recent years, the WWE veteran headliner has become known as an accomplished author of childrens books and as a standup comedian.

In a news release, the WWE states "WWE's Board of Directors has decided to find a GM to rein in the Superstars and Divas of 'WWE Saturday Morning Slam' The search occurs over the next three Saturdays - March 2, 9, and 16. To aid in the managerial hunt, WWE's Board of Directors has found just the man: Smackdown GM Booker T! Superstars and Divas will compete, jockey for psoition and try to impress the six-time World Champion enough to become the new boss of WWE's hit kids show."

Older fans may scoff or be confused about what Saturday Morning Slam is. Saturday Morning Slam began last August and marks WWE's return to the CW. It's also their show primarily directed at children. Rated TV-G, it features matches that don't contain moves or holds aimed at the head or neck and is deemed the least violent of WWE programming. It also features information about their children's initiatives such as the "Be A Star" program which seeks to eradicate childhood bullying.
