The 2014 Kia Sorento brings some new innovative trappings with its release including a new chassis, an upgraded engine and innovative technology features.
Kia's new SUV also boasts a smoother ride with special consideration given to reducing noise, vibration and harshness thanks to a new front suspension and a fortified rear suspension.
And drivers behind the wheel of the new Sorento will also have the ability to choose from three different drive modes of Comfort, Normal and Sport as a result of FlexSteer functionality.
There are five different trims for the 2014 Kia Sorento, including the LX, LX V6, EX V6, SX and Limited models.
A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque comes standard with the base LX trim, while a 3.3-liter six-cylinder that pumps 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque is the standard engine on all other models.
Six-speed automatic transmissions are standard across the board as well as front-wheel-drive; however, all-wheel-drive is an option for any Sorento trim level and features lockable center differential and torque-vectoring cornering control.
And although the interior of the 2014 Sorento appears similar to its predecessor, there are some innovative features available for the new model including a seven-inch TFT display that is optional for all trim levels EX and above.
A revamped infotainment system and blind-spot-detection system also join the 2014 Sorento.
From an exterior prospective, the redesigned SUV hosts transformed taillights and front fascia while the addition of optional 19-inch wheels for the high-end trim level strengthens the Sorento's road presence.
Pricing for the new 2014 Sorento starts at $24,100.
