"Transformers" star Shia LeBeouf quit an upcoming Broadway play called "Orphans" because of "creative differences," according to a press release as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The 26-year-old actor decided to leave the show just a month before preview performances were about to begin.
There was not much elaboration on the details surrounding LeBeof's exit from the show and no replacement has been announced as of yet.
"Orphans" will still open at the Schoenfeld Theater on Apr. 7 in New York, while previews are slated to begin Mar. 19.
The revival production is directed by Daniel Sullivan and also features Alec Baldwin who plays the role of a character who is kidnapped by two brothers.
"Orphans" is a play by Lyle Kessler that originally premiered in 1983 at the Matrix Theater in Los Angeles and is often revived in the regional theater circuit.
LeBeouf, who kick-started his acting career on the Disney Channel's "Even Stevens," had no theater experience entering the production of "Orphans."
But the former Disney star's success in the movie realm really took off after his starring roles in the "Transformers" action flick and in the latest addition to the "Indiana Jones" movies.
And the next flicks on LeBeouf's film lineup are Robert Redford's "The Company You Keep" and Lars von Trier's "Nymphomaniac."
Earlier in the year, LeBeouf said that he is going to seek more indie-esque films rather than big Hollywood blockbusters.
