Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce trial has been set for May 6, reports the NY Daily News.
The trial could last up to five days, says Vibe, and Humphries had requested to postpone the trial date so he would not miss any playoff games, which take place between April 20 and June 10, with his team, the Brooklyn Nets.
But according to the Daily News, "Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon refused, saying firefighters, police officers, truck drivers and others have to miss work for trials," and that Humphries should not receive any special treatment.
The NBA star and his legal team want his 72-day marriage to Kardashian annulled. What does that mean, exactly? According to Attorneys.com, unlike a divorce, an annulment voids the initial marriage contract, so it is as if the marriage never took place.

An annulment can be granted under various conditions, says Attorneys, including a situation in which "the marriage was fraudulent because either spouse failed to disclose details such as a criminal history, the presence of sexually transmitted diseases or impotence."
In this case, Humphries claims that his marriage to Kim Kardashian was fraudulent because he believes she only married him for publicity purposes. Kardashian denies that claim.
The trial could potentially reveal some behind-the-scenes secrets about how Keeping Up With the Kardashians is filmed. Read more details at the Daily News.
