The new Eevee evolution is still spurring talks of what type it could be.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed an eighth Eevee evolution will make its video game debut in "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y." The name of the new Pokémon, officially translated into English, is Sylveon.
Although Sylveon has been confirmed, its type has not. So far, previous Eevee evolutions have taken the fire, grass, electric, psychic, dark, ice, and water types, but it still gives a good handful of options as to what Sylveon can be.
Based on appearance, numerous Pokémon fans have speculated it could be a flying type due to similar styling to fifth generation Pokémon Gym Leader Skyla - notably the bows, or fighting due to the whips similar to Mienshao, or the rumored "light" type.
Twitter is still debating:
...AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS SYLVEON IS A NORMAL TYPE??

I'm starting to think that sylveon is a bug type. — Lennert (@InferSaime) February 15, 2013
Although, now that Ninfia has been confirmed as "Sylveon," I'm willing to bet that it's a Flying Type.

I think it's a flying type. Like a Shaymin in Sky Form. Cos Sylveon is like Sylph, which is a mythical spirit of air. — Zuzu (@YouLiekMudkipzz) February 15, 2013
Sylveon has been revealed! Might be a Light type, so-called-rumor for Gen 6's new typing. Can't wait O_O
