Since her departure as co-host of "Today," Ann Curry has appeared on NBC only 18 times.
For the 18 appearances on the various shows by NBC News, Curry as earned about $277,000, according to the Daily Mail. The cost per appearance is based on the $5 million-per-year-deal she signed with NBC News.
Curry's last day as co-host of the NBC morning show was last June and has since been titled as the network's "Anchor-at-Large." Curry has appeared on "Today" six times since July. She has appeared once per month except for September, where she appeared twice, and none in November.
Outside of "Today," Curry has appeared four times on "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" as the National and International Correspondent. The four appearances were once in July, September, October, and November.
On Brian Williams' other show "Rock Center," Curry has appeared five times: twice in November and December followed by once in January as a correspondent.
The massacre at the Aurora, Colorado movie theatre featured Curry the most appearing once on "Weekend Today" and "Dateline NBC."
The Daily Mail's statistics come after reports circulated that Curry could be leaving NBC for the upcoming Al Jazeera America, the new news channel replacing Al Gore's Current TV.
"Ann has had informal talks about working for the new Al Jazeera operation in America which is expected to formally launch later this year," a source told Radar Online. "She's extremely interested in what the network will be doing in the U.S. and has always held their reporting in high regard."
The rumored talks with Al Jazeera come after other rumored talks with CNN were denied.
"Well-connected network sources tell us reports that Zucker is courting Curry to be the next CNN star couldn't be further from the truth. Fact is, Zucker doesn't believe Curry is the answer to CNN's problems and is continuing the search elsewhere," reported TMZ.
