Acura, Aston Martin and Ferrari are just some of the automakers that will be releasing all new 2014 models that are expected to be available for purchase early this year.
The Acura RLX, the automaker's first flagship vehicle, has undergone an overhaul with the introduction of Man-Machine Synergy---which translated means more power, lighter weight and a brand new all-wheel-steer system in this redesigned front-wheel-drive sedan.
The 2014 RLX features an improved power-to-weight ratio and a smaller but more power-punching 3.5-liter direct-injected V6 that pushes out 310 horsepower and 272-lb-ft of torque.
The new Acura model has lost about 170 pounds and adds to the increase in power that the model has to offer.
Overall length of the RLX stays the same, but there have been improvements to the rear legroom issues with the previous RL. Now, there is 38.8 inches of legroom for passengers relegated to the back seat.
The front-wheel-drive of the RLX is expected to go on sale in the spring with pricing made available closer to the release date.
Aston Martin will also be putting out a new model this year with the redesigned 2014 Vanquish---a namesake revived from the automaker's past.
Car enthusiast and late night talk show host Jay Leno describes the Vanquish as "the classic example of what a grand touring car should be."
The new model's focus is not based on the spirit of a racecar, but that does not mean it isn't fast---by any means.
A 6.0-liter V12 engines that is rated at 565 horsepower and 460-lb-ft of torque lives under the carbon fiber hood of the new Vanquish.
However, the new model only offers a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic which has been the topic of some criticism.
But ridicule aside, the Vanquish's zero to 60 time is just over four seconds.
Look for Aston Martin's new hot rod to hit showrooms in the summer.
And while we're on the luxury sports car side of the biz, Ferrari is also offering a 2014 model that is estimated to be for sale this year and slated to make its debut at the Geneva auto show.
The release of the 2014 Ferrari Enzo has been shrouded in mystery and there isn't much information about the next generation sports car.
But Road & Track reports that the new Enzo will come with a V-12 engine along with a KERS hybrid system with all-wheel-drive traction.
There have also been reports that the 730-brake-horsepower, 6.3-liter engine from the F12berlinetta will be used in the next generation Enzo, however nothing has been confirmed.
Road & Track expects the new Enzo to weigh less than 3,000 pounds with the help of carbon fiber and aluminum.
Keep a watchful eye on the Geneva auto show where the new Enzo, or whatever name the automaker decides to call its new baby, is expected to make its debut.
The new model is expected to go on sale in early 2013.
