UPDATE: Eevee evolution's English translation confirmed, click here.
--
News of the next Pokémon game were expected this week, nearly a month after "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" were announced.
As Latinos Post reported, the news of the next Eevee evolution was confirmed with Ninfia, whose name has not been translated into English just yet.
With the new Pokémon confirmed for the sixth generation games, is this the news many were expecting?
Many websites began their speculation ahead of the Eevee news, although perhaps there will be more news other than Ninfia once "Pokémon Smash" makes their next broadcast in Japan.
Xilef (via NintendoLife): "Hoping for some new Pokémon and maybe some artwork of the main characters."
Emaan: "I'm hoping its new Pokémon artwork above all else, then perhaps main character art and their back stories at a close second."
LuigiMan200: "Anything that we don't already know would be nice, honestly. Looking forward to it!"
CrimsonFire13: "all i want too see is the starters evolutions and nothing else."
Pokemon Luke (via OfficialNintendoMagazine): "I Think It Will Either Be Showing Some New Pokémon Or The Gameplay Mechanics. Who Knows, They May Even Announce The Name Of The New Region!"
CaptainSnivy: "It'll just be the player characters, the region, and the early bird and early rodent, I expect."
Greene-Stuff: "Please just announce the pokedex, I've been dying to see the new Pokémon."
DynamicPunch202: "I want to learn about the new legendarys, cause we still don't know their types, or the legends behind them. I'd also like to see more new Pokémon, even if it's the just the normal type you find on the first route. The region name and starting town name would nice."
CeruleanJim: "Mark my words the news is two more eeveelutions, if you've been watching Pokémon smash they have been showing people dressed as eevee's evolutions each week"
And behold, CeruleanJim was half correct. The Pokémon fans got one, not two, new Eevee evolutions.
But should more "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" information been released? At least to help satisfy fans' hunger for another month?
