The Westminster Kennel Club show ended on Feb. 12 with the top prize going to the Affenpinscher Banana Joe.
Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, took home the best in show trophy a day after topping the toy breed competition. The 4-year old dog marked the toy dog's last show and first ever Westminster Best in Show victory for the breed. The 2013 Reserve best in show was awarded to the English sheepdog Bugaboo's Picture Perfect. Picture Perfect also topped its breed group winning the herding category on Monday. The competition was judged by Michael Dougherty.
The final breed contests also took place on Tuesday with the sporting, working and terrier dogs competing. The sporting contest was judged by Karen Wilson and saw the pointer Ripsnotersilvercharm win first prize. Thrilling seduction, a black cocker spaniel, went home with second place while Champagne Supernova, an English Springer spaniel, took home third place.
The Working breed category was won by the Portuguese water dog, Impression De Matisse. The second prize went to Veni Vidi Vici, a Doberman pinscher, while the Boxer I Dream Of Style took home third place. The contest was judged by Robert Vandiver.
The final contest of the day was the Terrier breed category which was judged by Mr. Jay Richardson. The Fox Terrier Sneak's A Peek won first place. Afterall Painting The Sky, a White Fox Terrier, took home second place and the Border Terrier Meadowlake Simply Sinful went home with third place.
