The legend that is Lara Croft is back and with a new video game and advantage footage ahead of the March release date.
"Tomb Raider," the name of the next Croft game, is set to debut on March 5 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PCs and developer Crystal Dynamics has given fans a lengthy sneak peak of the game.
Crystal Dynamics released an 11-minute gameplay walkthrough titled "Monastery Escape.
The walkthrough was released today and has been seen over 16,000 times as Croft journeys and battles her way around a mountain. The video could be a bit graphic, showing her die after taking a wrong route.
Croft finally makes her way into Shantytown, appearing hurt from her travels down the mountain and forests and encounter more battles.
Reviews so far of the walkthrough is mixed:
Zirconio191: "Sweet Jesus, is there any sequence that is not scripted in this game?"
Suibriel: "Thank you for the gameplay opportunity to see that this game is a cheap Uncharted knock off."
insum snoy: "I hope the textures are not that bad on the PC version. It looks like it may be a good game but those QTE's are getting old now."
Justin Farquhar: "Looks terrible, how about actually letting the player play the game? If I wanted a Tomb Raider movie I'd rent the Angelina Jolie movies."
fredsta786: "im really looking forward to this. it is a huge step forward for the series. i do hope there are more darker, grittier moments in the game though, rather than a constant gunfest from beginning till the end. I also hope they have preserved and improved the exploration/climbing aspect which was in previous games.........."
Bwer: "I'm really tired of this "cinematic experience" trend, games are not movies."
The "Tomb Raider" series have sold more than 30 million games since its 1996 debut.
Pre-orders are being accepted for "Tomb Raider."
