Colombian star Juanes took home his second Grammy award for Latin album of the year on Sunday for his "MTV Unplugged" album.
"Thank you to Juan Luis Guerra, who produced the album. Thanks to my wife, my kids, and of course, God," said the pop star during his speech. He dedicated the award to his native country and stated that, "Colombia, this is for you." He also dedicated the win to "all of my fans around the world. I love you all!"
The 40-year old also extended his gratitude "to all the musicians who work with me, to all my fans."
Juanes also did a shout out to fellow Colombian Fonseca who was also nominated in the category. Fonseca later tweeted that he thought that Juanes was great and that "it was an honor to be nominated in this category, now it's time to celebrate a Grammy victory for Colombia!" He also thanked Juanes for the mention.
The pop star had also won the award in 2008 for "La Vida...Es Un Ratico."
Juanes was born in Medellin, Colombia and released his first solo album Fijate Bien in 2000. His follow-up Un Dia Normal was major hit and catapulted him into fame across Latin America. Since then, Juanes has released three other albums including Mi Sangre, La Vida...Es Un Ratico, and P.A.R.C.E.
He will be performing at the main event later tonight.
