From the acrobatic to the sensational and even historic, the NBA was filled with big time moments from big time players this week.

On Tuesday, the Houston Rockets, one of the hottest offensive teams in the league, set the bar from behind the arc, netting an NBA record-tying 23 three-point field goals from downtown and led by Jeremy Lin’s 28 points as the Rockets routed the Golden State Warriors 140-109.

On that same night in Denver, Danilo Gallinari stole the show with 22 points—one of them an acrobatic, unbelievable trick shot for a three-point play—as his Denver Nuggets beat the Milwaukee Bucks 112-104.

Then on Wednesday, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade showed off another one of their signature alley-oop dunks while James had a big night with 32 points as the Miami Heat beat the Rockets in a 114-108 thriller.

Then on Thursday, Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett stamped his name in the history books with his milestone 25,000th NBA point, which he scored on a fade away jumper in a dominating 116-95 Celtics win over the Lakers.

And on Friday, Rudy Gay, the latest addition to the Toronto Raptors, wasted no time in making his presence felt, hitting the game-winning jumper in overtime to lead the Raptors to a 100-98 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Latinos Post breaks down the NBA’s Top Five Plays of the Week:

5. Rockets Light Up From Downtown In Record Pace

There are a lot of ways that the young and frenetic Rockets can beat a team. On Tuesday, they showcased one big weapon in their arsenal--the three ball. Tying the NBA record for the most team three-point field goals in a game, 23, the Rockets torched the visiting Golden State Warriors 140-109 in Houston on Tuesday.

Check out Jeremy Lin, James Harden and Chandler Parsons light it up from downtown:

4. Rudy Gay Proves Clutch in Overtime With Game-Winning, Buzzer-Beating Jumper

Only a little more than a week removed from being traded away from the Memphis Grizzlies, Gay, the newest member of the Raptors proved his worth with a stellar 23-point night on 7-of-12 shooting-one of those shots coming with the clock expiring in overtime to seal the deal on Toronto's 100-98 win Friday over the Pacers.

3. LeBron and Wade Connect on a Thunderous Alley-Oop Slam

They’ve done it seemingly a thousand times before ever since James took his talents to South Beach in 2010. And yet, watching James and Wade work in tandem, like poetry in motion, never gets old. Watch them connect once more during Miami’s 114-108 win over the Rockets on Wednesday:

2. Kevin Garnett enters the record books with Career Point No. 25,000

When it’s all said and done, Garnett will likely be going to the Hall of Fame, the 15-time All-Star netting get another historic milestone thanks to a fade-away jumper of the second quarter of Miami’s 116-95 win Thursday which scored Garnett’s 25,000th career point.

Only 15 players before Garnett scored 15,000 for a career. Relive history here:

1. Danilo Gallinari’s Circus Shot Helps Denver Hold On

There are great shots, there are spectacular shots…and then there’s what “Gallo” did on Tuesday in Denver. Capitalizing off a Denver steal with under a minute left and putting up a flip shot that can only be described as “mind-blowing” that hit the top of the backboard, rattled perilously around the rim, and went in. The shot for the three-point play helped the Nuggets win a close one over Milwaukee, 112-104.
