Rapper Eminem will release a new album this year following his 2010 record "Recovery," Shady Records confirmed to Billboard this week. The new untitled album will hit stores post Memorial Day the record label announced.
Shady Records President Paul Rosenberg told Billboard that Eminem is "far into the process" of finishing his eighth studio album. "We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time."
"It's safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we're not exactly sure when," Rosenberg said. "We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up."
According to Rolling Stone, the new untitled album will be Eminem's first release since 2011's "Hell: The Sequel" with Bad Meets Evil, a project with Royce da 5'9".
The record label also announced that the would be releasing 50 Cent's delayed "Street King Immortal" in the first half of 2013, although no date has been set. According to Rosenberg, the label will also focus on the re-launch of the record's website ShadyRecord.com.
"With all the talent that we have on this label and all the material that we created, there's no reason that we shouldn't be able to provide a rich online experience for people that goes beyond people just checking in on when a new song or video is released," Rosenberg told Billboard.
