A week ago it was rumored that Keri Russell was interested in being a part of the upcoming Star Wars movie. Now it seems that John Noble is being vetted to take a villainous role in "Episode VII."

According to rumors from Contact Music and Ace Showbiz, Noble is slated to star as the villain in the new franchise installment. The rumor was spilled by an Australian radio show in Melbourne, Australia. Jo, host of the FOX FM show, claimed that she heard from "very good authority." She was then pressed by her co-host Matt to tell her who it was, but she refused to make any concessions and asserted that the casting was for "Episode VII" and not for the recently announced spin-off films. She even offered to bet on it.

Noble worked with JJ Abrams on his TV show "Fringe," where he won a number of awards as Walter Bishop. Noble has also acted in a number of blockbuster films, including "The Last Airbender" and "The Lord of the Rings" as Denethor. He has also done a plethora of voice work for the "Transformers Prime" TV series and the upcoming "Superman: Unbound" and "Guardians of Luna;" if there is another Darth Vader type villain that relies on voiceover work, he has the credentials to take on the role.

In addition to the rumors about Noble, the internet is ablaze with fan-made posters and even a trailer for the upcoming film. The poster at the top has an interesting resemblance to one of the iconic posters for "The Dark Knight Rises" while another imitates "Little Miss Sunshine." The final two have vague resemblances to the new "Star Trek Into Darkness" image. Check them out below.
