Marvel is starting to enter into "Phase 2" of its feature films, but rumors and speculation have already been leaked about the third phase in the "Avengers" project.
According to reports from Latino-Review, The Hulk will be shipped away from Earth by the Marvel cinematic version of the Illuminati during "The Avengers 2." The publication states that the sequence will either occur at the end of "The Avengers 2" or in the post-credits sequence of the film. The Hulk is then rumored to end up on Planet Hulk in his own stand alone movie. The Green Giant will then return to earth in "Avengers 3" in a story based on World War Hulk. In that comic book, the Hulk returns to earth with his followers and retaliates against the humans for sending him away from his home planet.
According to IGN, Latino-Review has a strong track record with spoilers for upcoming movies. More importantly, Marvel Studio Boss Kevin Feige mentioned the two Hulk stories in an interview with MTV last November. "I don't think there's a lot that we couldn't do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe," Feige said. "Planet Hulk is a cool story. World War Hulk is a cool story."
