Arsenal is slowly falling behind the top five teams in the division and will look to make up some ground when it takes on Stoke City.

Arsenal had a chance to draw one point behind fifth place Everton but wound up drawing 2-2 with Liverpool. Arsene Wenger's club fell behind before Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott scored to draw Arsenal level. Wenger was not particularly active during the January transfer but did manage to purchase Nacho Monreal from Malaga. Monreal could be in the lineup when Arsenal takes on Stoke City on Saturday.

Arsenal Statistics

Leading Goal Scorer: Theo Walcott (11)

Home Record: 6-3-3

Away Record: 4-5-3

Stoke City currently sits in the middle of the standings and has not won in its last five matches. In the team's most recent tilt, City blew a 2-0 lead against Wigan Athletic. Ryan Shawcross and Peter Crouch gave Stoke City a 2-0 lead in the first 48 minutes of play but James McArthur and Franco Di Santo drew Wigan level.

Stoke City Statistics

Leading Goal Scorer: Peter Couch, Jonathan Walters (5)

Home Record: 5-6-1

Away Record: 1-6-5

Last 5 Games: 0-3-2

Previous Encounters: The two clubs played to a 0-0 draw in Stoke City on Aug. 26, 2012.

Predictions: This will not be an easy game for Arsenal. However, I think they will win 1-0.
