Marvel Studios has released a brief look at the "Iron Man 3" Super bowl teaser online.
"Iron Man 3" tells the story of Tony Stark, who embarks on a harrowing quest to exact vengeance on the enemies responsible for destroying his personal world. The journey tests his mettle and with his back against the wall, Stark is left to struggle on his own.
The studio had previously released a teaser trailer of the movie in October showing Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) having trouble adjusting to life after saving the planet in last year's box office hit "The Avengers."
From the new teaser released on Jan. 31, it is revealed that James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) would be inside the Iron Patriot armor. The film also looks darker in tone from the previous two installments. However, Kevin Feige of Marvel has assured fans that the film would contain the same kind of humor seen in its predecessors.
Shane Black directs the film, his second collaboration with Downey Jr. The two previously worked on "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" in 2005. The film also stars Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rebecca Hall, and Guy Pierce. Iron Man 3 is slated for a release on May 3.
Marvel Studio's has previously run ads during the super bowl for "Iron Man (2008)," "Thor (2011)," "Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)" and "The Avengers (2012)."
