Chelsea Handler Fights Piers Morgan Over Gun Control Stance On Air? (VIDEO)

Chelsea Handler interviewed CNN talk show host Piers Morgan Wednesday creating a perfect storm of intolerable Type A personalities. Spoiler: Things did not go well.

Appearing on "Chelsea Lately" to promote the second anniversary of his primetime show on CNN, "Piers Morgan Tonight," Handler wasted no time in attacking Morgan, taking a bite out of him right out of the gate. Before Morgan could even get a word out, Handler demanded, "What are you looking at?"

"Well, you've either had plastic surgery or a makeover, because you look really hot today," replied Morgan.

Handler didn't take too kindly to Morgan's playful barb. The "Lately" host quickly fired back, saying, "Oh, you're so annoying. You're so obnoxious... you wonder why everybody hates you! I specifically covered up so you couldn't look at me and undress me with your molester eyes."

Handler is referring to Morgan's recent controversial comments on gun control in the wake of the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, and the subsequent petition - signed by over 109,000 people - trying to have the British-born talk show host deported. The petition is now the third most popular on the White House's "We the People" digital petition website.

With more than three times the amount of required to prompt a White House response, the petition reads: "British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens."

Morgan drew criticism from many following his tweet, that following the tragedy in Newtown, Conn. he was ""standing on the graves of dead Sandy Hook children" in order to draw attention to gun control. He also caused a tremendous uproar from many gun-rights advocates when he interviewed Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt on CNN. Morgan did little to hide his feelings about gun control, appearing incredulous when Pratt suggested more guns were the answer to the gun control debate.

"You're an unbelievably stupid man, aren't you?" Morgan said during debate.

Morgan didn't let Handler's jab at his reputation slide, noting her notorious alcoholism in return.

"Normally when I come on the show, you're really hungover in a very unprofessional way," he said.

The verbal sparring match reached its bickering peak when Morgan said he thought he could interview better than Handler, to which she primly replied, "You can suck my a**."
