The battle between Togo and Tunisia on Wednesday will determine which squad moves on to the knockout stages.

Togo got off to a dreadful start in the tournament with a 2-1 loss to the Ivory Coast. Togo conceded a goal in the eighth minute to Yaya Touré but was able to draw even in stoppage time of the first half courtesy of a goal from Jonathan Ayité.

The match looked primed for a draw, but Gervinho scored in the 88th minute to seal a win of Ivory Coast. Togo bounced back in its following match and took down Algeria 2-0 with goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Dové Wome.

Tunisia meanwhile defeated Algeria in its opener 1-0 on a 91st minute goal from Youssef Msakni. In their ensuing battle with Ivory Coast, the Tunisians were pummeled 3-0.

Togo holds the goal differential tie breaker at the moment but the head-to-head result is valued more than anything else. A draw works in Togo's favor.

Predictions: Tunisia is prone to defensive lapses while Togo has looked solid on the backend. Look for Togo to play a relatively tight defensive match as they attempt to earn a draw. They will be waiting for a Tunisia mistake to strike and will win 1-0 Togo.
