Kobe Bryant is standing by his woman.
With the basketball superstar and his wife having just reconciled following their now-cancelled divorce proceedings, both Kobe and his wife have taken issue with popular rapper Drake rapping about their personal problems in his music.
The best-selling hip-hop artist took a shot at Vanessa when he guest-starred in the Rick Ross song "Stay Schemin'" with the lyric, "Kobe 'bout to lose a hundred fifty M's, Kobe , my n****, I hate it had to be him, B*** you wasn't with me shooting in the gym."
Vanessa, who says she has been taunted with that line ever since, fired back via her Instagram account earlier this month.
"I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don't need to be in the gym. I'm raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life," she wrote.
"I really wish people would stop THINK and then realize that they are being sucked into someone's clear intention to monetize and gain attention off of our family's heartache. This is real life. I hold down our home life so my husband can focus on his career. It's a partnership.
"Since my husband isn't friends with Drake, we received a text of an apology forwarded from his manager. It's done and over with and it's now time for people to THINK before speaking," she finished.
On Twitter, Kobe had to fend off similar remarks when he tweeted his status this week that he and his wife were having coffee.
"Morning coffee with my wife @LadyVB24(instagram) vanilla latte for me. Passion tea for her #morningaddiction," he tweeted.
A fan tweeted at the basketball star, "But... #SheWasntWithYouShootingInTheGym."
Bryant didn't take kindly to that, tweeting back to the fan, "no, she wasn't. She was busy raising our kids #nonanny #respectmothers."
