Selena Gomez has a lot going on: a new nail polish line, the upcoming release of her very un-Disney movie Spring Breakers, and, of course, her recent break-up with Justin Bieber.
In this behind-the-scenes video from her recent photoshoot with Nylon, Selena talked about what it was like to work on Spring Breakers, which will be released in the U.S. on March 22:
"Spring Breakers was one of the best experiences I've had on a movie set ever," she told Nylon. "The movie's super dark and interesting. It was cool for me to step out of my comfort zone."
"Much has been written about the 20-year-old former Disney star's desire to play more mature roles," says The Improper, and Spring Breakers is certainly a departure from her wholesome Disney days. Gomez, along with Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens and Rachel Korine, "play a group of college girls hungry for vacationing in Florida with thousands of other college kids," says The Improper.
In the Nylon interview, Gomez also talked about her new nail polish collection by OPI, which hit stores this month. She revealed her favorite color, a neon yellow shade named after her song 'Hit the Lights.'
When Nylon asked Gomez about her Valentine's Day plans--no doubt a coy attempt to get her to dish on her recent break-up with Justin Bieber, Gomez laughed and answered diplomatically,
"You'd think that Valentine's Day is like a really romantic or important holiday, but I've always been a girl's girl. I've always been with my girls and I sometimes forget that it's Valentine's Day!"
