On Feb. 1 "Bullet to the Head" opens nationwide. The film stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Momoa, Sarah Shahi and Christian Slater.
The Walter Hill directed film tells the story of a New Orleans hitman and a Washington D.C. detective who form an alliance in order to bring down their common enemy after watching their respective partners die.
The film has scored mixed reviews with the Hollywood Reporter who states that "This rock-'em sock-'em, tongue-in-cheek action thriller wears its B-movie credentials loud and proud." Variety also enjoyed the film stating that "To claim the dialogue is written to comfort the narratively challenged would be mere quibbling, as the pic's chief pleasure lies in its store of funny lines, which Stallone tosses off with genuine brio." Scotsman was less enthusiastic stating "Certainly noisy, occasionally amusing, but chiefly a reminder that the cinematic legacy of dull 1980s storytelling deserves a bullet of its own"
Sylvester Stallone last starred in "The Expendables 2" and will next be seen in "The Tomb" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Christian Slater last starred in "Hatfields and McCoy" and will next star in Lars Von Triers' controversial film "Nymphomaniac."
Warner Brothers will distribute "Bullet to the Head" which is expected to hit 2,400 theaters.
