The Dallas Stars (2-2-1) hope to get back on track when they visit the Columbus Blue Jacks (1-3-1) on Monday.

Star player Jamie Benn will make his season debut after signing a 5-year contract and will look to help his team break its two-game skid. After taking down Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena last Tuesday, Dallas lost to St. Louis and Chicago at home. In the Chicago game, Dallas held a 2-0 lead, but Chicago managed to tie it up in the third and finished it off in overtime courtesy of a goal from Marian Hossa. Goalie Kari Lehtonen has started three games and has a goals against average of 2.23 while his backup Christopher Nilstrop has a 2.70 GAA. Ray Whitney leads the Stars in scoring with five points.

The Blue Jackets were expected to struggle this season and in that respect, they have not disappointed. After starting the season with a 3-2 win over Nashville, the Blue Jackets have been defeated in four straight games. They were demolished 5-1 by Phoenix and 4-0 by Colorado, but showed more consistent play in their most recent 3-2 loss to Chicago.

Dallas won three of the four games last year between these teams including a 4-2 win in the most recent meeting on Feb. 9,2012.

Prediction: The debut of Benn should inspire Dallas to a 4-1 win over Columbus.

Start Time: 7 PM EST
