Marc Anthony has announced that he has split with his girlfriend Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima.
The singer announced that he ended the relationship on friendly terms with the model a few weeks ago. The announcement of Anthony's separation to De Lima came as a surprise because the two were recently spotted on a yacht. Sources stated that the reason for the split was "they have been having a great time together, but it no longer worked." They dated for a year.
Anthony and De Lima started dating a couple of weeks after he and Lopez separated in 2011. The couple confirmed their romance at an awards ceremony where Anthony accepted an award and stated how much he loved the model.
The story was made all the more interesting after Anthony and ex-wife Jennifer Lopez were seen entering a hotel in New York before the premiere of Jennifer Lopez's new film "Parker" just a few days ago. The two stayed in the hotel for two hours making many speculate that they were getting back together.
Lopez and Anthony were married for seven years and separated in July 2011. In recent interviews Lopez admitted that her split with Anthony made her feel like the whole world fell apart.
Marc Anthony is currently on a tour entitled "Gigantes" with singers Marco Antonio Solis and Chayanne.
