The Lakers might be a shipwreck these days, but for Kobe Bryant and his family, it seems like there's nothing but smooth sailing.
Roughly a week after calling off their highly-publicized divorce, Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, celebrated the birthday of the couple's oldest daughter, Natalia.
The couple have two children, Natalia and Gianna.
"Happy Birthday to our lil baby Natalia! 10 today :-) Where does the time go?" Bryant posted on his Facebook page Jan. 19. The post was accompanied by a picture of Natalia which received 105,590 likes, 484 shares and 3,855 comments as of Friday.
It remains unclear if Vanessa, who filed for divorce from Bryant in December 2011, citing irreconcilable differences, would have gotten custody of the couple's two children, but Kobe--worth $53.2 million according to Forbes--would have had to pay child and spousal support, along with other accrued costs that would have cost him millions.
However, this isn't the first time an athlete's divorce--or almost-divorce--has gotten widely publicized through the years. Here's a rundown of some of the top athlete divorces in the last 20 years:
1. Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian
The couple wed in October 2011 amid much publicity--only to have Kardashian file for divorce a little after two months later. The divorce proceedings are still dragging on, amid news that Kardashian is expecting a child with her new boyfriend, rapper Kanye West.
Humphries, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets, has been heckled by opposing players and fans for his divorce situation, most recently by New York Knicks player J.R. Smith. The Knicks guard sent a scathing tweet towards Humphries regarding his divorce following a Twitter taunt that the Nets player sent after a Brooklyn win over the Knicks Monday at rival Madison Square Garden.
2. David Justice and Halle Berry
Justice, a former three-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion with the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees, and Berry, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the movie "Monster's Ball" in 2001, were married in 1993, but the couple filed for divorce in May 1996, a mere three years later.
During that time, Berry, in an interview with PEOPLE, called it a "painful, painful chapter in my life" while Justice said that the couple both agreed that they had made "a mistake with their marriage." Just a few months before, Justice was questioned by police in Florida when they spotted him in a Riviera Beach area known for drugs and prostitution, but Justice denied ever cheating on his then-wife.
3. Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra
Flamboyant both on and off the basketball court, Rodman, a Hall of Famer, rebounding king and five-time NBA Champion with the Chicago Bulls, was in a whirlwind courtship with Electra, an actress of MTV fame, that culminated when they married in December 1998. However, the couple filed for divorce after only 10 days, which was finally granted in 1999. In 2006, Rodman claimed that Electra had called him "the love of her life" months before she was divorcing husband Dave Navarro.
4. Tony Parker and Eva Longoria
Parker, a three-time NBA Champion with the San Antonio Spurs, was the envy of a lot of men when he married Latina bombshell and actress Longoria of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" in July 2007. However, their marriage would only last three years before Longoria filed for divorce in November 2010 amid reports that Parker was caught "sexting" with a former teammate's wife. Longoria called that time both "heartbreaking" and "humiliating."
5. Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren
Woods, arguably the most famous golfer in the world, and ex-model Nordegren met at a gold tournament in 2001 and were married in 2004. However, a car crash around Thanksgiving 2009 brought to light an admission from Woods that he had engaged in extramarital affairs. The couple divorced in August 2010.
