A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the Texas College shooting that left three people wounded and caused the lock-down of five school campuses in Houston on Tuesday.
Police arrested Trey Foster, 22, in a Dallas suburb, and he was later charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Huffington Post. Carlton Berry, the first suspect arrested, faces the same charges.
The Huffington Post cites court documents that describe how the shooting unfolded: "An argument broke out after 25-year-old Jody Neal bumped into Foster on campus. About 30 minutes later, Foster and his friend, 22-year-old Carlton Berry, spotted Neal near the doorway to the Academic Building and Foster fired at Neal, who was wounded in the abdomen and leg."
Jody's sister Stacy told Click2Houston, "He was sitting in the study room. There (were) three people on the computer and a guy walked up the stairs and opened fire on him. They said it was just one guy that came in with a gun."
Three people were wounded in the shooting, according to the latest reports from Click2Houston.com.
"The two victims, we're told, have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, but were conscious when they arrived at hospitals," says KTRK. "Both have been taken into surgery. Medical crews could be seen tending to at least three victims outside buildings on campus."
Soon after the shooting, the school posted an alert on its website warning students to take shelter. "LSC-North Harris is locked down," the school said. "Students, faculty and staff are advised to take immediate shelter where you are. Do not enter the campus until further notice."
Four nearby elementary, middle school, and high school campuses were temporarily placed on lockdown as a precaution.
