Today, Barack Obama was sworn in for his Second-term as the President of the United States in Washington, DC. About 800,000 spectators flocked to the nation's Capitol to partake in the Inaugural ceremonies and along Pennsylvania Avenue. However, one of the most captivating performances of the day came from award-winning superstar songstress Beyonce. The multi-platinum singer and actress wowed the crowd singing an amazing rendition of the National Anthem.

Other celebrity performances of the day included former American Idol Kelly Clarkson who sung "My Country, 'Tis of Thee," James Taylor who performed "America the Beautiful" and poet Richard Blanco.

Bey arrived to the US Capitol on Monday morning in style with her husband, hip hop mogul Jay-Z, on her arm. The "I Was Here" singer was draped in a floor length black Pucci gown, a Christian Dior coat and shoes and emerald earrings by Lorraine Schwartz emeralds. Her high-profile glam was complimented by her husband's Tom Ford suit and trendy aviator sunglasses. The regal first couple of hip hop have been longtime supporters of the Democratic president since his first campaign in 2008. Last November, the celebrity couple raised $4 million for the president by hosting a campaign dinner at $40,000 a ticket.

Other A-listers were also spotted at Obama's Inauguration Day speech: Eva Longoria, Marlon Wayans, Omar Epps, John Legend, Katy Perry and John Mayer.

In 2009, the 31-year-old singer sang Etta James' "At Last" during the Inaugural Ball as President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama danced.

During the president's first inauguration, soul legend Aretha Franklin sang the national anthem to a crowd of 1.4 million spectators.
