Looks like actress Selena Gomez may be trying to send former boyfriend Justin Bieber a message with her latest acoustic performance of Justin Timberlake's hit "Cry Me a River." The 20-year-old freshly single singer-actress performed the hit breakup song during the third annual UNICEF charity concert in New York City on Saturday night, E! News reported.
Gomez, who seems to have officially split from the Canadian pop star, reportedly told the crowd, "I've been through a lot the past few months. It's been weird and sad and cool." She added, "This song definitely speaks to me," before performing an acoustic version of the 2002 hit from Timberlake's "Justified" album.
According to E! News, Gomez also performed a number from best friend Taylor Swift's new album, "I Knew You Were Trouble." The singer told the crowd, "It's by my best friend in the entire world and if anybody has felt anything painful to their heart, they know who this girl is. Sing along if you know it."
However, the singer wasn't the only one to perform Timberlake's hit following break up rumors. Bieber also performed "Cry Me a River" back in November following the first rumors that the young couple had split up.
Despite the heartbreak, it appears that Gomez is doing just fine. Since her breakup with Bieber, the young starlet has been linked to "Hunger Games" actor Josh Hutcherson. According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton wrote that the two partied it up following the Golden Globes and were reportedly seen leaving an after party hand in hand. However, the celeb blogger also reported that Gomez was seen with "Monte Carlo" costar Luke Bracey at the same party.
