After Jodie Foster's Golden Globe speech, the speculation over who Foster's children belong to started up. Journalists speculated that Mel Gibson is the father of children after sitting next to them at the Globes.
The speculation began after the actress thanked Gibson in her speech and stated "You save me." The New York Post took it a step further when they hired a genealogist to look at the photos of Gibson, Foster and the two kids from the Globes and stated that "The kids look like [Gibson], but blonder." The speculation also came when Foster defended Gibson after making anti-Semitic remarks and threatened the life of his girlfriend.
The children Charles (14) and Kit (12) have also been linked to Tandy Stone, an openly gay producer and friend of Foster. However, Stine died in 2007.
Jodi Foster was last seen in the Golden Globe nominee "Carnage" and will return to the silver screen in Neil Blomkamp's "Elysium" alongside Matt Damon. Mel Gibson last starred in "Get the Gringo," a movie he wrote and produced. The actor will appear in this fall's "Machete Kills" alongside Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara and Demian Bichir. Jodi Foster and Mel Gibson starred together in 1994's "Maverick" and in Foster's 2011 film, "The Beaver," where they played a married couple.
Jodi Foster stated that she will not reveal the identity of the father of her children until the kids are 21 years of age.
