After years of knowing someone by one name and suddenly having to call them another could be a pretty difficult task -- this seems to be the case with the notorious Kardashian clan, as Khloé Kardashian recently revealed she and her sisters still call Caitlyn Jenner, "Bruce."

In an interview with "The Project," Khloé opened up about the transition that the whole family had to endure.

On the topic of Caitlyn, the 31-year-old said: "It's beautiful that she's transitioned and strong enough to have her own voice to make such monumental beautiful moves and be that crusader to do so. There was a hard time for the entire family that we were all transitioning with her, in front of an audience."

However, the reality star divulged the struggle that came after losing her father figure to his new identity. "There is a lot of raw emotions, that it's hard to do in front of a camera," she said. "For us, we were trying to be really open and raw with it, I think."

Khloé further confessed that the family does not "like to say that Bruce is gone, per say"; Bruce played a major role in her life as her stepfather.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also claimed that she and her siblings are able to call Jenner whatever they are comfortable with.

"We, my sisters and I, we will call Caitlyn 'Bruce' and we've been told that's completely fine," she continued. "And she has told us, we are allowed to call her any name we want to. Because on the phone, when she calls me, it's the same voice as Bruce. And if I'm not physically with her, it's hard to remember in the moment that I'm talking to Caitlyn, if that makes sense."

Meanwhile, Jenner expressed her interest in getting vocal surgery to change the pitch of her voice to sound more like a woman in the latest episode of "I Am Cait." Stepdaughter Kim Kardashian expressed her concern over the procedure, asking her about any complications that could arise: "What if they made a mistake and you came out with no voice?"

In the same episode, the 65-year-old seemed to explore other options by asking other transgender women how they have dealt with the situation. One woman said she took voice lessons, while another, Chandi Moore, said she did nothing at all.

The transition has been for both Caitlyn and her children, and the clan have made it clear that they support her, regardless of the name they choose to call her.

"We all got through it and that's completely over, it's all behind us now," Khloé added. "So, we are just happy for her. We just want her to be happy. But there was definitely a moment that was really tough for all of us."
