As if the results of his ongoing rap feud with Drake could not get any worse, Meek Mill may have been slapped with a $500,000 lawsuit for his diss track, "Wanna Know," which fell short of impressve.
The Philly rapper is reportedly being sued by WWE and The Undertaker for sampling the professional wrestler's theme music without permission.
The Internet was definintly privy to the familiar sound, as fans tweeted the connection between Meek and the fighter.
For instance, @KiccUp18 tweeted, "Meek used the undertaker instrumental that's littt tho," while @FatiFuego_ wrote, "Meek used the undertaker omggggg."
Satirical website Huzlers.com reported that The Undertaker is seeking $500,000 for copyright infringement. In the outrageous article, which was later reported as fake, the wrestler was quoted as saying:
"I wouldn't have filed a suit if the track was actually good. But since he included my theme in a f**king garbage track, I'm angry. My plain theme song was a better diss itself than Meek Mill's. If I had a chance I would love to tombstone Meek Mill."
However, WWE was asked by Complex if they planned any action against the sampling of the theme, composed by Jim Johnston. The organazition made it apparent that the situation is no laughing matter to them:
"WWE takes its intellectual property rights very seriously, and we are looking into the matter."
Yikes!
All seriousness aside, it appears that Meek may never be able to live this ultimate rap fail down, as shots are still being fired by Drizzy.
The Toronto emcee was spotted sporting a "Free Meek Mill" T-shirt on Monday, ahead of this year's OVO Fest. In the past, he actually wore the shirt in solidarity with the "Monster" rapper, who at the time was behind bars for violating his probation.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Drake did not stop there. He kicked off the festival with none other than his first Meek Mill diss track, "Charged Up," while projections of a casket scrawled with insults were displayed behind him. The insults continued as he went into his second diss, "Back to Back."
Lesson learned: do not mess with Drizzy Drake.
