It's easy to figure out where to vote. Just type "where do I vote" into Google and enter your address. You'll even get a preview of your ballot.

But for many people, it's difficult to get to their polling place, which might be miles away for more rural voters, or close but difficult to reach, especially for people still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.

Members of Zipcar, the hourly car rental service, will have a slightly easier time getting to their polling place today, and every Zipcar member can benefit, even if they aren't eligible to vote.

From 5am to 9pm today, Election Day, Zipcar is cutting the price of hourly rentals in half.

While the move is ostensibly to make voting easier, there's no voting or registration requirement, and members don't need to show proof of any kind.

All hourly rentals of all Zipcars in the United States today are simply half price.

While that's good news for people who are already Zipcar members, what about people who aren't?

Well, Zipcar members can drive anyone else along in the car, as their membership includes insurance. Multiple people can split the cost of renting a car, which usually runs between $8 and $13 per hour depending on the make and model of the vehicle, and head to their polling place together.

If you're a "Zipster" taking advantage of this deal, be a good citizen and offer to give someone else a ride to vote, or grab some groceries, or pick up their kids.

It's a good day to be an American, so spread the love.
