The iPhone 5's rear-facing camera has not changed much from the iPhone 4 but new features to iSight has made taking photos better.
The iPhone 5 camera (the rear-facing) has eight-megapixels, 3,264 x 2,448, capable of taking 30 frames per second, an illuminated backside sensor, and five element lens.
The features are the same as the iPhone 4S but 25 percent thinner, which helped give the device a slimmer design.
The difference are the new features added to the iSight such as the sapphire crystal cover and dynamic low light mode.
Courtesy of the new A6 processor, which makes the iPhone 5 run two times as fast compared to the iPhone 4S, pictures will have an improved color quality due to a smart filter and will snap pictures in a quicker rate, in fact 40 percent faster, according to The Verge.
Taking panoramic pictures received an upgrade for the iSight, now capable of taking pictures up to 28 megapixels in size.
But the camera upgrades aren't just for the rear-facing camera, the front-facing camera's upgrades benefits FaceTime, which provides video calls, and recording. The front-facing camera is now able to capture video in 720p HD along with picture taking. The improvements are good compared to the VGA camera on the iPhone 4S.
It's important to note that there'll be restrictions when it comes to FaceTime based on the mobile carrier.
As Latinos Post reported earlier, Verizon will include FaceTime to their data plan. They confirmed FaceTime can be used under any of its data plans. The decision is different from AT&T's approach which stated that only customers with shared data plans will have access to FaceTime.
The iPhone 5 is confirmed to feature a Retina Display screen of 4-inches with a resolution of 1136x640, 4G LTE, iOS 6, and new dock connector titled Lightning.
Pre-orders begin on Friday, Sept. 14, and a wider release on Sept. 21. The iPhone 5 will be available on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.
