There seems to be some carrier issues for the Samsung Galaxy Note right before the release of its successor Galaxy Note 2.
The Galaxy Note 2 is set to debut in two days, Aug. 29, but a timetable for the device's availability for the four major mobile carriers in the US is sketchy.
The only known carrier to definitely carry the device is AT&T and should be on the market shortly after the Aug. 29 date at the IFA show in Berlin. What is unknown is when T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless will carry it.
T-Mobile started selling the original Galaxy Note 1 last month, almost a year after it launched elsewhere. It is possible T-Mobile will follow the same trend and have a delayed release. However, T-Mobile recently showed a message stating the Galaxy Note is "currently out of stock online...however the device is still available for purchase at select T-Mobile retail stores."
Sites such as MobileMag and AndroidPolice report it is the EOL (end of life) for the original Galaxy Note, and according to a source, the last date for the Galaxy Note 1 on T-Mobile will be Nov. 1.
If you search for the Galaxy Note 1 on the T-Mobile site, it currently states it is out of stock.
Perhaps it really performed well that they genuinely don't have enough for supply the demand? Or sales were lackluster for T-Mobile? Could this lead T-Mobile to not sell the new Galaxy Note 2 either?
Not necessarily, as it could be a method to start stocking up on the Galaxy Note 2 in time for the Holiday shopping season.
Verizon has so far not announced plans to carry the Galaxy Note 2, but it might not be far from announcing it will as they recently launched Samsung's Galaxy S3.
Sprint has not carried the original Galaxy Note, and plans so far have it not selling the Galaxy Note 2 either.
According to Koreanittimes, the Galaxy Note 2 will come with a 5.5-inch, unbreakable flexible AMOLED display with a quad-core processor, 4G LTE support, and upgraded cameras.
When it comes to operating systems (OS), the Galaxy Note 2 is expected to run with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich instead of the new Jelly Bean. However, a Jelly Bean update is scheduled for some time in the fall.
With the release of the Galaxy Note 2 less than 48 hours away, Latinos Post will have more updates and coverage on the device.
