Injustice: Gods Among Us, from Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm, is one of the best fighting games in recent memory, and now the company has announced the game's coming to the PlayStation Vita on Nov. 29, and will be ported to the PlayStation 4 as a launch title.
According to the EU PlayStation blog, there will be two versions of the game including the Ultimate Edition of the game, which will feature all the DLC characters and costumes previously released for the game. VG 24/7 then announced that the game will also be ported to the PlayStation 4.
NetherRealm Studios will not be handling either port for the game. High Voltage will handle the PlayStation 4 port, and Armature Studio will bring the game to the PlayStation Vita. While speaking to the EU PlayStation Blog, Armature stated that they will try to be faithful to the original version of Injustice: Gods Among Us and add special features to the handheld version of the game:
"When developing Injustice on Vita, our primary goal was to make sure it could hold its own next to its console counterpart. The PS3 version has beautiful lighting, destructible environments, and - most importantly - 60 FPS fighting. We worked tirelessly to bring this experience to the handheld, and pulled out all the stops to push the PS Vita as hard as we could to make all of the above happen...In addition to all of this, we've included ad-hoc multiplayer, traditional multiplayer over wi-fi, and touch controls to Story Mode and various S.T.A.R. Labs Missions."
Since this is the Ultimate Version of the game, the Vita and PlayStation 4 version of the game will have every single piece of DLC that has previously been released for Injustice: Gods Among Us. This includes a huge amounts of costumes released for characters based off of several different graphic novels, movies, video games and television shows.
In addition, the DLC characters released for Injustice, such as Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, Zod, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna, will be available for the Ultimate Edition of the game.
It is interesting to see that Injustice is coming to the PlayStation 4 and not the Xbox One, despite the fact that it originally came out for the Xbox 360. Look out for more news about Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition on Latinos Post Tech as it comes out on these new platforms.
