Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Saul Canelo Alvarez are all set to throw verbal jabs for the very last time before they duke it out inside the ring in Saturday's WBC Light Middleweight Championship rumble at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayweather Jr. has been talking a lot of things - mostly trash - about Alvarez ever since the bout's promotional tour. On Wednesday, "Money May" will have a final chance to hype up the fight, and more importantly, play out the mind of his Mexican opponent before their titular clash.

On the other hand, Alvarez is expected to take this opportunity to prove to the world that he doesn't back down from a fight, more so in a verbal clash. Hailed as the "next big thing" in boxing, Alvarez is out to send a message that he's more than the sport's newest poster boy.

Of course, the final presser will feature the second to the last staredown - the last will be in Friday's weigh-in - between the two fighters before they start unloading big blows at fight night.

Unfortunately, Golden Boy Promotions founder and top honcho Oscar de la Hoya won't be around at the press conference as he already started his rehab to address his drug and alcohol addiction.

Here's the official statement from the Golden Boy:

"Canelo Alvarez and I have big fights coming up this weekend. His is the ring and mine in treatment. will not be at the fight this Saturday to cheer Canelo to victory since I have voluntarily admitted myself into a treatment facility. I explained this to Canelo and he understood that my health and longterm recovery from my disease must come first. Thank you for your understanding. I ask for your support and privacy during this difficult time for me and my family."
