Recent studies by the University of California indicate that the use of video games in people over 60 years could generate brain stimulation that may diminish problems caused by age.
The study cited by PC World website points out that scientific research suggests that video games act over the brain's cognitive control causing positive reactions in attention, memory and ability to multitask.
California scientists conducted the study based on the design of a 3D video game. "Driving a car along a track and being aware of the signs that were appearing, as drivers should react by pushing a button when they saw one in particular," according to the source.
This research proves that the use of video games doesn't harm the brain. However, it clarifies that violence issues in video games can alter behavior and emotional stability of the user.
