Actress and entrepeneur, Eva Longoria, might portray singer Gloria Trevi in an upcoming movie about the Mexican star's life, according to Latin Gossip. According to this site, the film is in the works and producers want Longoria to play the "Pelo Suelto" singer.
According to Telemundo Chicado, Trevi, who currently stars in telenovela "Libre Para Amarte" ("Free To Love You"), has publicly said she wants Longoria to play her on the big screen. But Diario Rotativo informed Trevi is considering any actress to play the role, as long as it's done with professionalism and "heart."
Back in August, La Nación reported the 45-year-old singer was working on a movie project based on her personal and artistic life. Trevi's designer and friend, Gustavo Matta, was reportedly in charge of designing the wardrobe for the movie.
"The movie will be filmed in the United States, in English and is a Hollywood production in which Trevi won't act," Matta told La Nación.
However, the Mexican singer put the film's production in doubt, "I think that when it can be done, there will be someone that can do it, and only needs to add some heart to it," said Trevi, according to Diario Rotativo.
The Mexican singer has returned to the spotlight after acquaintance, Janette Garza Quintanilla, and her mother, Juanita Quintanilla Sánchez, were detained in Texas, for allegedly being involved in the kidnapping of Trevi's husband, Armando Gómez, on October 7, 2011.
According to Quién magazine, the arrest of both women happened on Aug. 18. The singer has not made any statement regarding their arrest.
Longoria recently made it to headlines after her much-publicized split from boyfriend, Ernesto Arguello, after dating for 4 months. Split rumors started when it emerged that the couple had reportedly not been together since returning from Europe on Aug. 6. The Daily News reported that the actress retweeted a rather telling message on Aug. 6. "Sometimes the worst battle you have to fight is between what you know and what you feel," wrote Longoria.
According to TMZ, they both had busy schedules since Longoria spends most of her time in Los Angeles and Argüello lives in Miami, so the couple decided to split. One source told TMZ, "They're just on hold right now."
The 38-year-old star seems to be enjoying single life. She spent the Labor Day weekend relaxing in Italy and shared pictures of her dreamy vacations with her followers on Twitter, the Huffington Post reported.
Longoria visited Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. According to her messages on the social networking site, she was sad to leave. "Bye bye Sardinia...back to the real world!," Longoria captioned a picture where she can be seen wearing chic sunglasses, a colorful cover up and a tiny bikini.
