Jake Peavy
After a Game 1 that featured numerous fielding miscues, the St. Louis Cardinals are happy to return to home as the head into Saturday night's Game 3 against the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox will start former Cy Young winner Jake Peavy, who has struggled in the postseason throughout his career but is making his first World Series Saturday night.
The St. Louis Cardinals have a strong starting staff going into the World Series, anchored by rookie phemon sensation, NLCS MVP Michael Wacha, but Red Boston Red Sox bullpen has managed to wear down batters with their bullpen and their 0.84 ERA, led by ALCS MVP Koji Uehara.
The Detroit Tigers, who have a team ERA of 0.86 in the American League Championship yet are still down two games to one to the Boston Red Sox, hope to even up the series, starting Doug Fister against the Red Sox's Jake Peavy in Game 4 of the ALCS.
The Texas Rangers are still looking to make a big splash before the trade deadline despite already landing pitcher Matt Garza from the Chicago Cubs last week.
