Of all the companies to push for higher cybersecurity standards, Huawei had to walk into the conversation. China's largest phone maker, Huawei Technologies Co., said in a white paper published this week that it wants IT companies and regulators to work on a new broad range of security standards.
Huawei, the Chinese phone maker and technically the world's largest telecoms equipment maker (though it's ranked 6th in the smartphone world), looks poised to take on some of the leading smartphone designers with its new handset, dubbed the Ascend P6. At an elegant event in London Tuesday night, Huawei announced its flagship device, with some special features that might mark Huawei's newly confident entry in to other world markets.
Rumors are flying around about a possible 6.3-inch display for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but the Huawei Ascend Mate is real, and it’s here.
