The Charlotte Hornets suffered a big blow for their 2015-16 NBA campaign after small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist went down with a shoulder injury during the team’s pre-season game last weekend against the Orlando Magic.
One of the bright spots and promising players on the Miami Heat roster is of course Hassan Whiteside. The 26-year-old seven-footer was of course a revelation last year for the Heat, ably performing his role to the letter, mostly on the defensive end.
The Charlotte Hornets have reportedly acquired Nicolas Batum from the Portland Trailblazers, someone who is expected to fill in the void left by Lance Stephenson.
A couple of unique sneakers are set to release in April 2015.
Stephenson moved out of the Indiana Pacers and recently signed a deal for three years, valued $27 million, with the Hornets.
The New Orleans Hornets are getting a new name, the New York Times reports. The Hornets are expected to announce the organization's plans to re-brand as the New Orleans Pelicans for the 2013-2014 season Thursday evening. There has already been one New Orleans Pelicans franchise, which was a minor league baseball team.
