BlackBerry Q10
BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins says the embattled mobile phone company plans to release three to four new smartphones running its BlackBerry 10 operating system this year.
All the focus lately has been on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone just hitting the U.S. market. But the QWERTY keyboard-enabled Q10 is on the way, and it will be available unlocked in the U.K. on Apr. 26 for £529.98.
The BlackBerry Z10 will be available in the United States through AT&T beginning Mar.22, according to a statement from the company.
While recent rumors say AT&T will bring the BlackBerry Z10 to the U.S. public on Mar. 15, T-Mobile could technically meet its goal to be the first carrier to offer the phone in America, though most people won’t be happy with it.
U.S. consumers hoping to get their hands on the BlackBerry Z10 may want to look to AT&T; new rumors say the mobile carrier will be the first to get the new BlackBerry 10 phone into the hands of the public on Mar. 15.
Even before its debut in the United States, the BlackBerry Z10 is having its price cut by European retailers in an effort to invigorate what appears to be flagging sales.
Sprint customers in the U.S. waiting for the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone will be disappointed: the mobile carrier won’t be offering the all-touch Z10 in America.
BlackBerry is teasing the American release of its BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones.
The new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is outselling the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 at Glentel, the largest independent mobile phone retailer in Canada.
It looks like Verizon might end up releasing both the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones in April, perhaps simultaneously.
A keyboard for the BlackBerry is in development but it won't be seen for the U.S. market until May or June.
