Coming at the heels of the successful launch of Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus over the weekend, Samsung is set to officially introduce its highly-touted Galaxy Note 4 on October 10.
Trusted Reviews confirmed the release date for the phablet as October 10, amid countless leaks and rumours prior to its unveiling. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 formally took a bow during IFA 2014 on September 3 in Berlin, Germany, the report added.
Techradar also confirmed the release date of Galaxy Note 4 following Samsung's official announcement at the Berlin event in the first week of September.
According to the report, the Galaxy Note 4 will be sold first in Samsung Experience stores and will become available from select retailers after September 26. General sale will begin from October 10.
The Galaxy Note 4 still comes in the 5.7-inch screen size like its predecessor the Galaxy Note 3, but Samsung has made it even better by using a Quad HD Super AMOLED (2,560 x 1,440 resolution) technology that stretches to 500 pixels per inch.
Samsung has also bonded the screen with a 2.5D bevelled front glass panel with edges and corners that protrude upwards from the phone, giving it the screen an almost 3D appearance -- as if what's reflected on the screen is floating.
In its initial review of the Galaxy Note 4, Expertreviews noted that just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung is actually coming out with two different high-powered handset models of its phablet.
The first model makes use of Samsung's own Exynos 5433 octa-core CPU, with four cores running at 1.9GHz and four cores running at 1.3GHz. The second handset uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip -- making it the first Android handset to do so. The other major difference between the two handsets is the internal modem.
